Fuming And Just Like That... viewers SLAM unrealistic dating apps

The seventh episode of And Just Like That... saw Carrie return to dating for the first time since the tragic death of her husband Big.

Fans saw the former technophobe, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, launch herself back into playing the field with the help of dating apps - yet fans were less than pleased with the 'unrealistic' portrayal of online dating.

After being signed up by her pal Seema Patel, played by Sarita Choudhury, Carrie swipes through just three profiles before matching with a fellow widower - in a move blasted by viewers who claimed such success is is 'unheard of'.

A like: Carrie is then seen sitting in bed while pondering her dating apps. One suitor, named Peter, 53, seems to catch her eye, with the fact that he is a widower and teacher listed under his name. She likes his profile

'This is unheard of!' Fuming And Just Like That... viewers slammed the unrealistic depiction of 'horrifying and mental' dating apps after Carrie's 'first and only match ends up decent'

Carrie's return to the field in the episode came after her publisher read her sorrowful memoir and told the author she had to provide her viewers with 'a glimmer of hope' so requested she go on 'one date' to contribute to an epilogue.

Though initially reluctant, she agrees to get herself into the swing of dating and swipes through the app where she 'matches' with Jon Tenney's teacher character.

The duo are then seen going on a date, which ends in both vomiting in the street, before agreeing to second meet-up at the end of the episode when she finds he is a teacher at Kristin Davis' character Charlotte's kids' schools.

The main point of chagrin for viewers, was the lack of realism in Carrie's instant success on the oft-criticised dating apps, which was fashioned on Tinder.
