Mark Wright has revealed he's received lots of positive and thankful messages from people who got lumps checked after he spoke out about finding his benign tumour.

The former TOWIE star, 34, had a non-cancerous 12cm mass removed from his armpit last month and now has been given the 'all clear'.

Now he has revealed that speaking out about the experience led to many reaching out to him to say that he'd encouraged them to go and see their own doctors about lumps they'd been putting off getting checked.

He told Metro: 'I think it's imperative to talk about it. I've had so many messages – I didn't really think about it, but I was just like, 'You know what, if one person who sees this post has got a lump they're a little bit concerned about and had otherwise just left it, it might just save their life,' so I did it.

'I've had so many messages, even an actor friend messaged me to say that he had a lump that was quite sore and that I reminded him to go and get checked.

'He is all alright and everything, but it just reminds people to get checked just to be sure.'

Mark is now back to full health and recently has been enjoying proper trips to the gym after he returned from his New Year break in the Maldives with wife Michelle Keegan, 34.

A rather sweaty Mark said: 'My first proper session back. If you haven't started yet I understand. Sometimes it takes that first week to get back into the swing of things.

'Im absolutely drenched in sweat, trying to get rid of this holiday fat. I gained about 8/ 9lbs over Christmas. I will get it off and continue to challenge myself in January.
