Giovanni Pernice has vowed to bulk up and look like hunky Strictly Come Dancing runner-up John Whaite while on the show's tour.
The professional dancer, 31, took to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday to share a video of himself and former Great British Bake Off champ John, 32, in the gym together, with Giovanni insisting: 'He's training me!'
Twinkle-toed Giovanni later heaped praise his 2021 series dance partner, winner Rose Ayling-Ellis, 27, before they took to the stage at the dress rehearsal, while he also gave a glimpse at Bruno Tonioli, 66, after the judge made a return to the UK following his Strictly break last year.

Sharing a video of himself in the gym as a hunky John worked out in the background, Giovanni declared: 'So just to let you know, by the end of the tour, I'm going to look like this guy,' to which John responded: 'Yeah, you are.'
The Italian star added: 'He's training me. I mean, today's the first day but it's got some muscle hasn't it. The pirate.'
After leaving the gym, Giovanni treated his followers to a sweet moment between him and last year's winner Rose, with the pair expressing their delight at working together once again.

Hugging Giovanni from behind, Rose told the camera: 'You're not allowed to see my costume, that's why I'm hiding right behind him. So, basically, we're doing a dress run and it's going well.'
Giovanni added: 'So the dress run is going very well. It's nice to dance with you again,' to which Rose asserted: 'It's lovely to dance again, it's bringing happy memories.'
Performer Giovanni then gave his followers a look at show judge Bruno Tonioli who could be seen backstage wearing a metallic pink shirt.

Bruno was replaced on the series last year by Anton Du Beke, 55, with Bruno opting to appear on the American version of the programme only in 2021 as pandemic travel restrictions prevented him from flying back to appear on the UK show too.
