Moviegoers excited to see Robert Pattinson's The Batman movie in theaters should brace themselves, as it's set to be the longest film in the franchise ever at nearly three hours long.

The hotly-anticipated comic book film is said to have a running time of two hours and 55 minutes, including eight minutes of credits, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Insiders at Warner Bros. confirmed the runtime to THR on Thursday, making it the longest running solo Batman film so far.

It will also be one of the lengthiest superhero films behind Marvel's Avengers: Endgame, which has a run time of three hours and one minute.

But the longest superhero film is Zac Snyder's Justice League - starring Ben Affleck as Batman - at four hours and two minutes.

However, it was a director's cut that did not receive a cinematic release.
