Clare Bowditch has expressed her 'utter fury' at the NSW government's decision to prohibit singing and dancing at music venues and festivals in an effort to curb surging Covid-19 infections in the state.

Speaking to The Courier Mail on Saturday, the musician, 47, questioned the reasoning behind the ban.

'Leaders who banned singing and dancing did so without consultation with the industry and not based on any scientific research,' she said.
