The tragic news prompted Janet Jackson, Octavia Spencer, Ireland Baldwin and more to pay tribute to the Oscar-winning actress' late child.
Upon hearing of Ian's unexpected passing, the Miss You Much singer, 55, shared a photo of the Los Angeles-based DJ and his mom sitting on the couch together.

Ian died on January 19, which was also his 26th birthday. No further details were released.
Five days prior, Ian took to Twitter writing: 'I don’t think instagram is healthy for me.' He also compared his mental state that of a seemingly distressed cartoon character.

King's spokesman confirmed her son's death in a statement Saturday reading: 'Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian.'

Ian was an artist and DJ who performed under the stage name desduné. The musician had a show scheduled on Friday in Los Angeles and had promoted the performance on his Instagram account three days ago.
