'I wish everyone the best, there isn't any animosity but I've moved on. I've got the tour, I've got a picture book coming out. There's some brilliant Spandau stuff in there as well.

'There's loads going on. The rest of the guys in the band all have their bits that they do.'

He added that his favourite song with the band was Through The Barricade saying: 'My favourite Spandau Ballet song is Through The Barricade, it's such a beautiful song, I love it.'

Tony left the band in 2017, tweeting: 'Due to circumstances beyond my control, it is with deep regret that I am required to state that I am no long a member of the band Spandau Ballet, and as such I will not be performing with this band in the near future.'

The band then said: 'Much to our frustration, Tony had made it clear in September 2016 that he didn't want to work with the band anymore.

'This has not changed and 2015 was the last time we were able to perform or work with him. So we have now made the decision to move on as a band.'
