Steve Coogan transformed into shamed sexual predator Jimmy Savile recently as he filmed the final scenes for the BBC's controversial new drama The Reckoning.
Coogan, 56, looked looked eerily like Savile, who died aged 84 in 2011, as he wore a purple suit jacket and black trousers, along with a blonde wig, while carrying a clown costume during filming at the University of Salford.
The actor was seen stepping out of a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud III - the late TV host famously owned a fleet of Rolls Royce cars over the years - before stepping out of the university's Peel Building - which had been mocked up as Leeds General Infirmary in West Yorkshire.
Sexual predator Savile's victims at Leeds General Infirmary ranged in age from five to 75 and included adults and children of both sexes.

Back in October Coogan was also seen filming as Savile in a clown costume at the hospital. No record of Saville’s visit to the hospital in a clown costume is known, but the performer was known for his quirky costume and shell suit choices.
Later on that day, Coogan wore spectacles and a padded jacket as he warmed up between takes.
In The Reckoning, Coogan will play Savile at key points throughout his life, starting from his humble beginnings as a pirate radio DJ in his native Leeds.
The scenes filmed in October are understood to take place in 1963, during the disgraced star's decade long stint as a disc jockey at Radio Luxembourg and long before his commercial fame on hit TV shows Top Of The Pops and Jim'll Fix It.

Former Leeds General Infirmary porter Terry Pratt previously claimed Savile was handed a key to the nurses' accommodation building at the hospital 'by a lad on the front desk' several times a month during the late 1980s.
Speaking in 2012, the ex-worker told the BBC that Savile would arrive with the girls in the early hours of the morning and then leave before dawn.
He told the BBC: 'He would go up and see the lad on the desk [and he would say] 'Here's the key Jim, make sure I get it back'.

'He'd take the key and the two of them would look through the doorway... he would walk out and the two women would follow him towards the nurses' home.'
'He was going into a property he had no right to go into. He wasn't a doctor and he wasn't a nurse.'
He added that the celebrity, who was a volunteer and fundraiser for the hospital, would make several late-night visits a month where he would ask for the key to the accommodation block, spend a few hours there and then leave at 5am.
