Antonio Brown announces he's president of Kanye West's Donda Sports

Antonio Brown is going back to the Super Bowl. 

One year after winning the Lombardi Trophy as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and a month after being cut by the team over his infamous January 2 sideline meltdown, Brown has been named president of Donda Sports by founder Kanye 'Ye' West. And to celebrate his new role with the sports wellness brand, the 33-year-old free agent bought 24 tickets to Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles on the company tab for $2.2 million.     

'We the owners now! Donda is about ownership, empowerment, and discovering the next superheroes,' Brown wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of the invoice.  

Brown has been in the news regularly since his sideline argument with Bucs head coach Bruce Arians during a game at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium on January 2. The spat ended with Brown removing his jersey and throwing it into the stands, before walking off the field during the third quarter of win over the New York Jets. He was cut by the team later that week, and has since threatened to file a lawsuit against the Bucs.

Sunday's Super Bowl LVI features the AFC-champion Cincinnati Bengals and the NFC-champion Los Angeles Rams, who will be playing at their home field, SoFi Stadium.  

'This is for the people who counted us out, for everyone who said we can't - we say we will. As president, it was important to me to book the Donda suite for this years Super Bowl LVI. This is a game meant to be watched together. This is the love and unity we need to push.

'This is for the kids, our next generation! We will be hosting community events this weekend, and inviting kids with their families to the game, let's give people the Donda experience. It's a family affair.'

Speaking of which, Brown has reportedly fathered five children - three of whom were mothered by former teacher Chelsie Kyriss. 

The first team associated with Donda Sports is the Doves, the Simi Valley-based basketball team enrolled at Donda Academy, which is the prep school the 44-year-old rapper founded and named after his late mother. 

'We're just excited about the Donda Sports brand, and making this thing a competitive sports brand to the athletes,' the Miami-born footballer told Complex last month.

'I don't think there's a lot of fashion lines for athletes, wearing fashionable and comfortable clothes, so with a guy like Kanye West, being able to partner with him and work with him to provide more creative, genius ideas for fashion looks for athletes in general...
