Daniel Johns has said he will never perform live again.
The Silverchair frontman is set to release his new solo album FutureNever in April, but has confirmed he won't be going on tour.
The singer, 42, told Australia's Rolling Stone magazine he enjoys creating new music but doesn't 'feel like a performing artist'.
'I never wanted to be onstage': Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns (pictured) has revealed why he'll NEVER perform live again
'Some people write records so they can perform it live, which is completely cool, but I don't write music so I can perform it,' Johns said.
'From about the second (Silverchair) album, I've never wanted to be onstage.'
He continued: 'I just don't feel like a performing artist. I don't feel like a touring artist. I feel like someone who needs to come up with stuff, and come up with new sh*t.'
It comes after the singer revealed the shocking reason why he decided to distance himself from the band that catapulted him to fame, Silverchair.
In October, Johns confirmed the band would never reform with him as frontman in a new podcast titled Who is Daniel Johns?
