John Travolta can now fly a 737. The Saturday Night Fever star shared the happy news on Instagram on Sunday in a video as he stood next to one of his own planes.

The iconic actor, 68, has been flying planes for four decades and owns at least seven including a Boeing 707, Bombardier Challenger 601, Boeing 727 and three Gulfstream jets.

The Grease star has also been an ambassador for the Australian aircraft company, Qantas, since 2002.

'A very proud moment for me. I just received my 737 license. ✈️ ,' he wrote in his brief caption as he wore a black T-shirt and tinted glasses.

Travolta started taking flying lessons at age 15 and has been a licensed pilot since he was 22 years old.

Travolta first became a licensed pilot over 40 years ago, and his sprawling estate outside of Ocala, Florida even includes a private runway and taxiway for his planes.

He was inducted into the Living Legends of Aviation in 2007, and he wrote the book Propeller One-Way Night Coach, following a young boy's first flight.  

In 2020 Travolta took social distancing to new heights, literally, as he took to the skies in one of his private planes.

The actor took to his Instagram to share a video from the air.

'It's always exciting to get back in here again!' Travolta said in the caption of his brief video.

'It's always exciting to get back in the air again, so here I am celebrating,' Travolta said, while turning the camera to show his plane soaring above the clouds.

Travolta was sporting a salt and pepper beard with a black sweatshirt while strapped into the pilot's seat of his plane.
