Lisa Curry has an emotional chat with Abby Coleman about her late daughter Jaimi

Lisa Curry and B105 host Abby Coleman have both broken down in tears while talking about Lisa's late daughter Jaimi.

The Thursday morning interview turned very emotional as Abby revealed how much 59-year-old Lisa's new book meant to her in light of her own struggles with an eating disorder and abuse.

'I always knew my experience, but I never sort of knew it from my mum's point of view,' said Coleman, 40, through tears.

The Mole runner-up then stressed the importance of Lisa sharing memories of her late daughter: 'You sharing your story, it means we're having a conversation about it.' 

Lisa then wept too, telling Abby, 'You're right, from a mother's perspective, it's horrible.' 

'There's an acceptance of your parents [dying], but when it's your child you can't explain the grief enough.' 

The heartfelt chat comes after Lisa broke down in tears during an emotional interview on Today Extra on Wednesday morning.

The emotional moment came after the Olympian revealed to hosts David Campbell and Sylvia Jeffreys that she has a thumb print of her late daughter Jaimi imprinted on a necklace, which she carries with her 'always'.

Jaimi tragically died in September 2020 at the age of 33, following a lengthy battle with alcohol addiction and an eating disorder.

'She's never far away. She's always around somehow,' Lisa smiled. 'This is a little gift that I gave to our whole family. It's her thumb print that they took for us.

'It's always a reminder to look after yourself and live your best life.'

David then asked Lisa how she manages to lift herself back up in her darkest times, after first losing Jaimi and then her mother Pat in April this year.
