Family Matters was a beloved sitcom in the 1990s, but Jo Marie Payton, who played the Winslow family matriarch, has revealed it was not always harmonious behind the scenes.
The actress, 71, alleges former co-star Jaleel White, who played Steve Urkel on the sitcom once acted out violently on set.
The ImPossible star blames the spotlight that was targeted on the young actor with affecting his attitude on the set. Jaleel joined the sitcom at age 12 as a secondary character, but quickly became a standout and the show started to center more on Urkel than on the other cast members.

She claimed the alleged altercation took place in 1997 in the season nine episode Original Gangsta Dawg, in which White, now 45, also portrayed Urkel's gangster cousin, OGD.
