The presenter, 43, was kitted out in a black McLaren polo shirt and dark sunglasses as he larked about in the paddock with the McLaren racers at the Miami International Autodrome.
James fun outing comes after he shocked fans last week by announcing he's quitting The Late Late Show in a bid to spend more time with his family.

The drivers were initially wearing the usual orange McLaren shirts, before James presented them with customised cropped versions adorned with colourful motifs and the words '#1 Driver' on the front.
British Lando and Italian-Australian Daniel took their new look in their stride as they showed off their toned abs in the new tops.
