Passing actress Tessa Thompson kissed her beloved dog Coltrane while seated al fresco at a café in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood on Tuesday.
The 38-year-old LA native adopted the black Australian Kelpie, whose 35% Chihuahua, in August 2019 from The Dog Cafe in Los Angeles.
'I think maybe [my Lady and the Tramp co-star] Justin Theroux was an inspiration to me in adopting a dog,' Tessa told The Root in 2019.

'It was something that I always wanted to do and there's so many reasons why it's not a good time - work or travel. And I was fostering a dog and I just really loved him. I realized three days in I had already renamed him and that he was my dog.
'And in whatever ways it would change my life, it was only going to enrich it. I was going to learn how to be more patient and caring and interested in something other than myself. He's been such a gift. He is named after Alice Coltrane or John depending on what you're into. I like them both.'
For her lunch outing, Thompson flaunted her taut tummy in a grey cropped cardigan and blue jeans, which she wore with a black leather blazer and grey slingback heels.
On Monday, the Emmy-nominated producer popped a bottle of champagne at a Brooklyn party with several gal pals including her production company Viva Maude co-founder, Kishori Rajan.
