The 'nude photo scandal' that rocked Married At First Sight this season is the subject of an ongoing NSW Police investigation.

But the woman at the centre of the controversy, Domenica Calarco, appears to have just confirmed the photo leak was not a criminal act.

Speaking to Yahoo on Thursday, Domenica seemingly acknowledged the photo at the centre of the scandal was sourced from Twitter, not from behind an OnlyFans paywall.

She said her OnlyFans was not even active at the time of filming, so the only way anyone could have accessed her racy photos was via links on Twitter or Reddit.

'If you clicked the link [to my OnlyFans] you would've seen that it wasn't active and it would have taken you nowhere,' she said.

'It was all left online because, yeah, it was a link on a Twitter account or a Reddit account. Big deal.'

This appears to be the first time Domenica has publicly acknowledged the 'leak' was not a private photo from her OnlyFans - which many viewers had assumed it was - but was instead an image posted on her public Twitter account.

She had used the Twitter account to promote her OnlyFans.
