Cody Simpson, 25, has revealed he thought he was going to die from covid, in a candid interview with The Daily Telegraph.
The Olympic hopeful detailed his battle with the dreaded virus, saying that it hit him 'really hard' during training.
'It hit me really hard – I was bedridden,' Cody said. The singer then added: 'I thought I was going to die. It was so bad.'

Cody explained he was worried the virus would permanently damage his lungs which would hurt his chances at Paris, 2024.
However, he soon got back to training in the pool.
'That was tough but I feel I've come out of the other side and been able to get a really good block of training in,' he said.
