The Italian band, who won the Eurovision Song Contest last year, were infamously cleared of drug use after they were asked to take a drug test by the show's bosses. Their singer Damiano David was accused of snorting drugs after video footage from the final saw him bending down towards a table in what was wrongly interpreted by observers as a snorting movement. When he was asked if he had any advice for his year's acts, he hilariously responded: 'Have fun and don't get close to the table guys! Don't do it!' After last year's controversy, the band were forced to deny the allegations, with Damiano saying Thomas Raggi, the band's guitarist, had simply broken a glass in the green room. They said on Instagram at the time: 'We are really shocked about what some people are saying about Damiano doing drugs. Rock n roll never dies. We love you. (sic)' After Damiano was asked to take a drug test by Eurovision bosses, the singer was cleared of drug use by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). Last year, Maneskin walked away as Eurovision's 2021 winners thanks to their popular track Zitti e buoni, which saw them score 524 points. The lead singer, who has not revealed how he injured himself, had earlier reassured fans he would still be in fine form but he stumbled a few times as he ditched his crutches on stage. Earlier sharing a clip of himself doing his skincare routine with a face mask, he wrote on his Instagram Story: 'My ankle is bad but my skin can still be perfect.' In another post, he added: 'Tomorrow we'll smash the stage anyways, don't worry 4 me. Love y'all. (sic)' Ouch!
