Today hosts Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon say they aren't worried about the ratings despite sliding to third place behind ABC News Breakfast and Sunrise earlier this month.
The co-anchors told The Kyle and Jackie O on Wednesday that it's normal for ratings to go up and down, and one bad week isn't anything to worry about.
Stefanovic also said it wasn't a surprise to see the ABC surge to second place during an election campaign given the public broadcaster's reputation for hard news.
Speaking out: Today hosts Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon say they aren't worried about the ratings despite sliding to third place behind ABC News Breakfast and Sunrise this month
'If the ABC isn't having a good time during the elections than they have got serious problems. We love what we are doing and we are committed to doing a great show for our viewers,' he told radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson.
'There is no doubt that what we are doing now is better than it has been the last few years,' Stefanovic continued.
Langdon agreed, saying: 'The results change every day. We've won Brisbane the last couple days but last week we lost.
'It is jumping all around and the election coverage plays a role.'
