James, 27, popped the question last month during a romantic trip to Rome – weeks after he rejected Maeva, 30, when she got down on one knee in scenes filmed for the E4 series.
The couple's proposal may come as a surprise to some Made In Chelsea viewers after James admitted to kissing another girl behind Maeva's back on Monday's show, in what he described as a 'drunken night' at London nightclub Raffles.

A source close to the couple told MailOnline: 'This is everything Maeva has ever wanted.
'She has dreamed of being proposed to since she was a young girl and finally it became a reality last month when James asked her to marry him in Rome.
'Marriage is the ultimate commitment, now they're engaged Maeva feels reassured and excited about their future, and anything that's happened before can be forgiven.'
