But that did not stop Chris Brown, 33, from taking to Instagram on Thursday to congratulate ex-girlfriend Rihanna, 34, on the arrival of her baby boy with partner A$AP Rocky, 33.
Both TMZ and People have claimed the singer welcomed her child on May 13.
The singer posted a Story on his social media platform writing 'Congratulations,' and adding a pregnant woman emoji as well as the prayer hands and red heart symbols.

Though he didn't tag the Umbrella hitmaker in the post, his wishes came just an hour after the happy news broke from TMZ.
The two famously dated from 2007 to 2009 until a violent car altercation, when Brown attacked the Barbadian beauty, leaving her face bruised and requiring hospitalization.
Following the violent incident, he pled guilty to a felony assault charge and agreed to a plea deal that included 5 years of probation, community service, and domestic violence counseling.

After she dropped the 5-year restraining order that was put in place, Rihanna spoke to "Oprah about working on their friendship: 'We’ve been working on our friendship again and now we’re very, very close friends.
'We love each other and we probably always will. That’s not anything that we’re going to try to change. That’s not something you can shut off if you’ve ever been in love,' she explained.
The two then briefly reconciled romantically from 2012 to 2013 before parting ways for good.

According to People, the star is at her home in Los Angeles resting with the baby.

This is a first child for both Rihanna and A$AP who have been romantically linked for two years after several years of friendship.
It was speculated that they secretly wed or perhaps got engaged as Rocky wore a Marry Me grill in his music video for DMB (Dat My B*tch) and she had on a red wedding dress with veil for a mock wedding.
