Coronation Street paid a moving tribute to the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing ahead of the fifth anniversary of the horrific incident on Friday.
Friday evening's episode saw Gail Platt (Helen Worth) and Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) lay flowers a memorial bench in Weatherfield.
Walking into a peaceful garden, Gail stood at the colourful mosaic bench and turned to Eileen to say: 'It's a lovely bench, isn't it?'

Eileen said: 'It is. It's just a crying shame it even has to be here,' to which Gail replied: 'Five years on Sunday.'
'Could have been any one of us, couldn't it,' said Gail. 'Any one of us from this street.'
Eileen added: 'Our kids. Our grandkids.'

'They went out for a concert and they never came back,' said Gail. 'Our Lily loves Ariana Grande.'
Eileen replied: 'Oh, don't Gail.It doesn't bear thinking about.'
Referring to their troubled relationship, Eileen said: 'Look at us two being civil to each other,' to which Gail said: 'Yeah, well, some things are bigger than you and me Eileen.'
