Cody Simpson looked glum as he walked alongside his mother Angie in Adelaide at the National Championships.
The Olympic hopeful, 25, had his Olympic dream quashed after being disqualified from the 100 metres freestyle on Saturday.
And Cody appeared unusually downbeat as he exited the pool facilities.

He carried his belongings in a backpack and wore a pair of Ray-Ban wayfarers.
Mother Angie opted for black jeans, a white t-shirt, and a spray jacket as she put a supportive arm around her disappointed son.

She finished her look with a pair of orange tined glasses and a handbag she wore slung over one shoulder.
Cody was disqualified from the 100 metres freestyle at the national championships on Saturday.
And the pop star's face wore a look of shock as the results came rolling in at the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre in Adelaide.

Cody pulled off his goggles and looked towards the scoreboard, and was openly disappointed.
Once out of the pool, he continued to appear shell-shocked at his poor performance.
He'd previously thought he was a shoo-in to represent Australia in the 100 metres butterfly at the world championships until Thursday night, when Kyle Chalmers changed his mind about sitting out the event.
