Heartbroken friends and family of Erin Jayne Plummer have gathered for a sunrise memorial service to farewell the beloved TV host following her 'sudden' death aged 42.  

The Studio 10 and TVSN advertorial host died unexpectedly over the weekend, with colleagues Sarah Harris and Angela Bishop announcing the tragic news on Monday. 

Mourners were seen gathering on Wednesday morning at Erin's favourite coastal spot Freshwater Beach, in Sydney's north, to watch the sunrise and pay their respects. 

According to a Facebook post announcing the memorial, attendees were encouraged to bring 'red frogs and a cup of cheap coffee from the BP' - Erin's favourite snacks. 

The event was attended by Freshwater Surf Club Chaplain, who was seen offering condolences to the large crowd.  

Mourners of all ages were seen crying and embracing each other as the Chaplain led the group in prayers. 

Attendees were also encouraged to share their fondest memories of Erin, who was known for her bubbly personality and endearing presence on camera. 

Sydney's recent rainy weather subsided for the occasion, with clouds parting way for a rare morning of clear skies and sunshine. 

She is survived by her husband and daughters. Her cause of death is unknown. 

Erin's death was announced on Studio 10 on Monday, with hosts Sarah Harris and Angela Bishop paying tribute to the 'gorgeous' mother of three who 'brightened up our mornings with her bubbly personality and megawatt smile'. 

Friends and loved ones have meanwhile flocked to a public Facebook group set up to share memories of the late infomercial host.
