There was a rather awkward moment live on the Today show on Wednesday, when Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon interviewed Elsa Pataky about her new Netflix action film, Interceptor.
At one point during the in-studio chat, Karl, 47, jokingly said that Elsa's Hollywood star husband Chris Hemsworth, 38, 'can be annoying'.
The comment was made when Karl tried to ask Elsa, 45, if Chris 'tried to tell her what to do with fight scenes' on her new film of which Chris was an executive producer.

'Chris is the action man in the house and I wanted to say, mummy is an action girl too!' Elsa said, just before Karl made his awkward quip.
'Chris does those soft god of thunder films. It's all CGI,' Karl said in reference to Chris' blockbuster film series, Thor.
'He is a producer. Was he vaguely... whenever I've seen him, he can be annoying about how he goes on about fight scenes and what not. Did he try to tell you what to do with the fight scenes?' Karl said.

Elsa said that she happily took Chris' advice, with him being an action hero in Hollywood: 'A little bit. I accept his advice because he's been doing this for a long time,' Elsa said
