The Hemsworth clan have already bought up big in and around the celebrity rich town of Byron Bay, on NSW's far-north coast.

Now rumour has it that actor Liam Hemsworth, who has already sunk over $13 million into the area, has struck again, and purchased another choice block with incredible ocean views.

The Hunger Games star is thought to have bought a property in Newrybar, south of Byron Bay.

The property was settled for $10.5 million through a trust fronted by directors of the William Buck accountancy firm, reports Domain.

The price for the land, situated opposite another block Liam bought in 2021, for $6.8million, is a record deal in the tiny town.

According to the report, Hemsworth corporate entities, including Chris and Liam's company Corn Dog Pty Ltd, are based with William Buck.

Domain was unable to confirm the buyer after making enquiries to William Buck and the Hemsworths' own management.

But the rumour is that it may have been Liam who was behind the purchase.

The 31-year-old Hollywood hunk already owns a sprawling $6.5million estate with five-bedrooms and four-bathrooms in Newrybar.

The 3.87 hectare property has a house with two separate wings built around the swimming pool, tropical gardens and a lawn bowls area.

It can even accommodate three helicopters on the lawn, and is the most expensive property ever sold in Newrybar by over $2million.

Meanwhile, eldest sibling Luke, 40, is planning to expand the family's empire by upgrading his $4.3 million beachfront mansion in Suffolk Park, Byron Bay, according to Realestate.com.au.

In September last year, The Westworld actor and wife Samantha lodged a development proposal to renovate their single-storey property into a two-storey home, a project estimated to cost $300,000.

The couple are planning to spend around $233,000 on adding a second level and a 72sqm master bedroom overlooking the existing backyard swimming pool.

The home currently has four bedrooms, two bedrooms and sits a stones throw away from the beach.

The property was transferred into Luke's name last year, after it was purchased through the Hemsworths' property management company two years prior.

Prior to Luke holding the keys, the Suffolk Park home was reportedly used by Chris and his wife Elsa Pataky as a temporary home while they built their $30million mega-mansion.
