But not before handing out its highest accolade, the Palme d’Or award - which director Ruben Ostlund's walked away with for his film Triangle Of Sadness. It comes after Tom Cruise and Forest Whitaker both received honorary Palme d’Or awards during the first week of the festival. Winner! And it wasn't without a show, as the screening also featured French fighter jets taking the sky streaming blue, white and red smoke - before the film received a five minute standing ovation. The big day was topped off with the the 3x Oscar nominee being presented with the honorary award - as he beamed for prideful snaps afterwards.
