Tom Cruise's blockbuster sequel Top Gun: Maverick passed $200 million in box office sales, after raking in another $14 million on Thursday for a $203 seven-day total.
According to Forbes, the hit action movie's Thursday gross marked just a 4 percent drop from its Wednesday haul of $14.8 million, which dropped 6 percent from Tuesday's $15.8 million.
As Top Gun: Maverick is not up against any other major wide releases this weekend, even with a 50 percent drop, the film is on track for $269 million ten-day total, which will cement its status as Cruise's top-grossing movie at the domestic box office.

Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter, Deadline, and Variety have estimated that the sequel could finish the weekend with a total box office haul as high as $290 million.
The movie's success is helping drive Paramount's continued box office revival after the studio's struggles over recent years.
Top Gun: Maverick has already surpassed the studio's recent wide release Sonic the Hedgehog 2, which brought in an impressive $186 million.
After this weekend, the movie is expected to overtake Mission: Impossible — Fallout, which brought in $220 million in 2018, and Transformers: Age of Extinction's $245 million gross in 2014.
