EastEnders' Danielle Harold is said to be devastated after being written out of the BBC soap in an unexpected 'cull' that will potentially see her character killed off.
The actress, 30, who plays 'tearaway' Lola Pearce, is 'in pieces' with a storyline around her departure allegedly in the works, in part because the nature of her exit means she will be unable to return.
An insider at the TV show told The Sun: 'She was not expecting the chop because her character has been a firm favourite with viewers. She'll be written out with no option to return.'

They added that the cast is 'rallying around' Danielle, who has 'handled the news like a true pro'.
Speaking to The Sun, the source also claimed the actress was told others face being axed off too, but 'no-one else has been given their marching orders yet'.
MailOnline has reached out to the BBC and Danielle's representatives for further comment.
