Seals & Crofts singer Jim Seals died Monday at 80, according to his cousin, country singer Brady Seals.
'I just learned that James "Jimmy" Seals has passed,' Brady Seals said in a Facebook post. 'My heart just breaks for his wife Ruby and their children. Please keep them in your prayers. What an incredible legacy he leaves behind.'
The musical artist's cause of death was not immediately announced.

Seals and musical partner Darrell 'Dash' Crofts emerged in the early 1970s with hits such as Summer Breeze, Hummingbird, Diamond Girl and We Will Never Pass This Way (Again).
The group's albums Summer Breeze (1972) and Greatest Hits album (1975) each sold two million copies at their time of release.
Summer Breeze was subsequently covered by musical groups such as the Isley Brothers and Type O Negative, and featured in films such as Dazed and Confused, King of California and Vacation, among others.
Seals was born in Sidney, Texas on October 17, 1941; his father Wayland Seals worked in the oil industry and had a background in music, according to Rolling Stone. Seals played the fiddle and saxophone and eventually linked with Crofts in a band called the Crew Cats. The pair were also in the band the Champs, famed for their 1958 hit Tequila, but didn't play on the track.
