Matthew Morrison's wife Renee Puente posted sweet throwback snaps of her 'honey' amid his So You Think You Can Dance controversy.

'Throwback Thursday with my honey @matthewmorrison,' Renee, 37, captioned a collage of loved-up shots, posted to her Instagram Stories on Thursday.

In one of the photos, the couple shared a loving smile as they basked by a body of water followed another tender one of them slumbering side by side.

Renee leaned against her husband as he slept with a hat tilted over his face.

The post comes not long after Renee showed her support for Matthew after he was fired from the Fox TV show amid allegations he had an inappropriate relationship with a female contestant.

The Hawaii-born actress and model reposted a video statement Morrison, 43, made in his defense, in which he recited a seemingly innocuous text message he sent a contestant that led to his ousting from the show, vowing he had 'nothing to hide.'

Puente said of Morrison's clip: 'My husband has finally been given an opportunity to speak his truth' and 'has done so with such grace and integrity in a situation that is complex and incredibly complicated.'

Puente, paraphrasing what her husband said in his clip, said that 'gossip and cruelty are poison that have penetrated the depths of our society and somehow have made people forget their true nature - Love & compassion.'

She shared a quotation from author Jay Shetty that read, 'Negativity is a trait, not someone’s identity. A [person's] true nature can be obscured by clouds, but, like the sun it is always there. And clouds can overcome any of us.'

Puente followed up in saying, 'Perspective my people,' adding, 'Stop perpetuating hate and shame. Period. NO ONE DESERVES IT.'

Puente, who first met Morrison in 2011 and exchanged vows with him in Maui, Hawaii three years later, shared another quotation, from late monk Thich Nhat Hanh.

It read: 'Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything - anger, anxiety, or possessions - we cannot be free.'

Puente said, 'We let go and go into freedom' and thanked the people 'who have shined love and light in our lives
