Canadian comedian Nick Nemeroff has passed away at the age of 32, his family announced on social media Monday.
Nemeroff had begun to make it big in his native Canada, getting nominated for the country's equivalent of a Grammy, while making appearances on shows like Conan in the US.
A statement on Nemeroff's Instagram and Twitter accounts revealed the Montreal native's premature passing.
'It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother Nick Nemeroff,' the family said in the statement. 'Nick’s dedication to standup comedy was formidable, and produced amazing results.'

Nemeroff's family noted that the comedian 'drew acclaim in Canada and the US, becoming both a "comic’s comic" and a hit with crowds who were enamored by his unique cadence, labyrinthine deadpan, and fresh take on misdirection-driven comedy.
'If Nick was on a comedy show, he was guaranteed to leave with new fans. And he deserved to, because comedy was, in many ways, his life.'
Nemeroff's family described him as 'endlessly sweet,' 'supportive of others,' and 'humble about his many skills and achievements,' adding that he 'lived his life doing what he loved, and that is how he will be remembered.'
