Sam Asghari is in the newlywed bubble, three weeks on from his lavish wedding to Britney Spears.

The Iranian-American actor sat down with Good Morning America on Wednesday to discuss his new project, but talk soon turned to married life.

Sam gushed that it was 'a fairytale' being married to the pop icon as he showed off his wedding ring to correspondent Will Reeve.

Sam, who appeared on the US show to talk about his new film Hot Seat, flashed his gold ring, joking: 'I have to wear this thing now.'

'It's nice, it's a good rock. It's heavy so I'm getting a work out with it.'

'It's just been surreal,' he added of being married. 'It's been a minute, it was way overdue for us. We imagined this thing being a fairytale and it was.'

The couple, who met on the set of the singer's 2016 music video for Slumber Party, tied the knot on June 9 at Britney’s  home in Thousand Oaks, California.  Sam proposed in September 2021 after five years together.

While the couple had their dream day, there was drama at the wedding after Britney's ex husband Jason Alexander attempted to crash the nuptials.

On Monday it was alleged that Jason attempted to enter Britney's bedroom while she was in it.

A former security guard for Britney, 40, testified during a preliminary hearing for Jason on Monday that Jason attempted to open her bedroom door, however it was locked, reports TMZ. Britney was inside the room at the time.

The guard, who was fired as a result of the crashing, claimed Alexander repeatedly said he needed to speak with Britney and was searching for her, despite not being on the guest list.

Britney's former guard claimed Jason headed directly to the pop star's bedroom after sneaking onto her property and entering the main house.

The guard also said Jason had been seen numerous times leading up to the nuptials on the outskirts of her property.

He alleged Jason had also been seen the day before the wedding, even though he had been told to stay away from the property.

A detective with the Ventura County Sheriff also served as a witness and testified that Britney had called Alexander 'scary' during a conversation with her longtime agent Cade Hudson.

Jason pleaded not guilty to four charges when he was arraigned at a court in Ventura, California earlier this month, accused of trying to gatecrash the pop idol’s wedding last week while armed with a knife.
