Neighbours biggest stars Stefan Dennis and Jackie Woodburne have joined a chorus of actors from the beloved soap blasting the Logie Awards for its lacklustre tribute to the show at this year's ceremony.

Stefan, who portrayed Paul Robinson on the Channel Ten series, said he was furious after a skimpy montage of the show was shown at the awards after it had been on-air for an impressive 37 years.

'For it to get a tribute of 40 seconds, f**k off,' he said in an interview with the Herald Sun.

'It would have been nice for Neighbours to get some sort of industry vote or recognition or accolade.

'For the industry to turn around and say thanks Neighbours, you've lasted and made history, here's a little present. But we got f--- all.'

Stefan said he certainly wasn't alone in his criticism of the awards show.

Actress Jackie Woodburne, who portrayed Susan Kennedy on the show, also didn't mince her words about the tribute and said it felt like a 'slap in the face'.

'I thought it was very disrespectful to us and to the industry,' Woodburne said.

'That was the best they could do. It felt like a slap in the face and undeserved because I know how hard everyone works.'
