Sunrise's long-time U.S.-based entertainment reporter Nelson Aspen is quitting the Channel Seven breakfast show after almost two decades on air.
The 58-year-old announced his resignation on air on Friday after delivering his morning showbusiness news bulletin live from New York City.
'After 19 and a half years with Sunrise, I am giving you my two weeks' notice,' Aspen told co-hosts Natalie Barr and Michael Usher, who seemed surprised by the news.
