Former Love Island star Tayla Damir will make her Australian Ninja Warrior debut this week.  

And speaking to the Herald Sun on Sunday, the 25-year-old revealed how reality TV and signing on to star on Australian Ninja Warrior, has helped her overcome feelings of self-doubt and anxiety.

The influencer said it's not only made her step outside of her comfort zone but also challenged how other people perceive her.

'I have a real complex where I have been associating not being perfect at something as being associated with failure,' Tayla revealed.

'So for me I have really struggled with that for most of my life and it stopped me giving things a go because in my mind it is like 'Well, if I am not perfect at it I am not going to do it.''

Referencing Australian Ninja Warrior, she continued: 'It is something that has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and challenge other people's perception of me too.'
