Oscar nominee Bill Murray danced with his bandmate Mira Wang during their New Worlds concert at the Jane Pickens Theatre & Events Center in Newport, RI on July 26.

The waltz between the 71-year-old comedian and the Chinese violinist is a part of their show, which was captured in Andrew Muscato's film New Worlds: The Cradle of Civilization earlier this year.

Bill performed spoken word poetry and did some singing at the benefit performance for The Redwood Library & Athenaeum where general admission tickets cost $150.

Murray, Mira, pianist Vanessa Perez, and cellist Jan Vogler have been a quartet as far back as 2017 - doing a European tour and even releasing an album called New Worlds.

The charismatic comedy icon was eccentrically attired in a boldly-patterned short-sleeve button-up beneath suspenders and a black suit.

It was a rare public sighting for Bill, who was accused of inappropriate behavior so severe Searchlight Pictures shut down production on Aziz Ansari's film Being Mortal back in April.

When CNBC asked Murray about the scandal on April 30, he replied: 'We have a difference of opinion with a woman I'm working with. I did something I thought was funny and it wasn't taken that way.'

'I think we're going to make peace and I'm very optimistic about that,' the Illinois-born father-of-six said.

'As of now, we're talking. We're trying to make peace with one another. I think that's where the real issue is between our peace. We're both professionals, we like each others' work, we like each other, I think, and if we can't really get along and trust each other there's no point in going further working together or making the movie as well.'

Bill said he's 'learned more in the last year or two then I may have learned in a whole decade of my life' and it's 'important for me to figure it out.'

'The world's different than it was when I was a little kid, you know. What I always thought was funny as a little kid isn't the same as what's funny now. Things change and the times change. So it's important for me to figure it out,' Murray continued.
