Luca Bish has revealed he has finally spoken to Gemma Owen's family after the Love Island final - and her mother Louise likes him.
The couple finished as runners up on Monday night's episode where they lost out to winners Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti.
Speaking in a post-finale interview, Luca told how he has had a quick phone call with Gemma's family - which also includes her father Michael Owen - and he's looking forward to meeting them in person.

Asked what his family will think of Gemma, Luca said: 'My family will love her! They've already said they love you. My sister, mum and nan, that's the one I look for as my dad is easy-going.
'They've all given their approval. We got a call last night after the final and speaking to your [Gemma's] family, I got a few moments with them and I am buzzing to meet them in person.'
Gemma was asked about her mother's opinion of Luca and said: 'If my mum was like 'absolutely not' then yeah I think that would be the end of it.
'I haven't had a chance to speak to her properly but from the small bits I've heard, she's really happy and likes him.'

Luca admitted: 'I was nervous. I've been anxious about meeting your mum and hearing what she's got to say.'
Of meeting Luca's family, Gemma added: 'I'm not really nervous to meet Luca's family.
'I think they all seem absolutely lovely and I'm not nervous for Luca to meet mine because I think they'll get on and he'll fit straight in. His personality, his banter and what he loves, I think he'll get on with everyone. '
The pair were asked how they felt about Gemma's mum Louise saying Luca looks like her father Michael when he was younger.

Luca said: 'I think when he was playing football, I was really young so I don't think I've ever seen your dad. I've seen him now presenting and stuff but I don't think I look anything like him there but maybe when he was younger.
Gemma said: 'You need to see a picture of him when he was younger, side by side.'
Luca replied: 'I've had nothing to go off. I've had people tell me about the goals he scored and all that.'
Asked how it felt to finish as runners up, Gemma said: 'It feels absolutely amazing. I don't think any of us expected it. I feel like it could have been anyone out of the four couples.
'Really strong connections - I love all of them! Whatever the situation was last night, I think we all just would have been happy for each other - a really good group of people.'

Luca also said he plans to make his relationship with Gemma 'official' in the next month or so and the moment will involve 'a swimming pool'.
The fishmonger, who lives in Brighton, is also considering moving up to Chester in order to be closer to Gemma.
He said: 'There is no middle ground - it's Chester or nothing! I'm happy to go wherever she wants me to go. I haven't got too many commitments back home so it's easier for me to move.
'Whatever makes us happy and whatever is right we'll do. Hopefully if I move near her, in time we'll get a place together.'
He added: 'Just to be near her family I'll love. Hearing stories about her barbecues and stuff like that, I'm quite excited and I feel like I'll fit right in.'
Asked what their favourite thing is about each other, Gemma said: 'I would say the more we've got to know each other, we're so similar. We're pretty much the same person. It's so nice.
'We're both stubborn and have little bickers. It's just everything. And a best friend in a partner is something that I've always wanted.
Luca added: 'My favourite thing about her is no matter how I felt I would turn around and she'd just give me a hug or something and I would smile. I've never had that with anyone as I'd never want to show emotion in front of any other partner.'
