Following shock news Warner Brothers had 'canned' the upcoming Batgirl movie, DC fans were offered a silver lining on Thursday as film bosses revealed the release date of the much anticipated Joker sequel.
According to Deadline, Joker 2: Folie à Deux, which is said to be a musical, will hit cinemas October 4 2024, five years after the Oscar winning original.
At the end of the first movie, Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix, who won the Best Actor award for the role) found himself inside Arkham Asylum before he made a daring escape and it's believed the sequel will largely be set within the institution.
