Taylor Swift's heart-wrenching short film inspired by the extended version of her hit breakup ballad All Too Well. has officially qualified for Oscar consideration. 

The 32-year-old pop star's directorial debut, starring Sadie Sink and Dylan O'Brien, is eligible under the best live action short film category, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

According to the outlet, the romantic drama, which runs for 15 minutes, is about 'an effervescent, curious young woman who ends up completely out of her depth.'

Over the past two months, the Grammy winner has shed light on her filmmaking process as a fist-time director with appearances at Tribeca Film Festival in June and on Late Night With Seth Meyers.

During an appearance on Meyers' late night talk-show back in November, Swift noted that she was interested in collaborating with people whom she personally admired.

'I like working with friends or people who I think would be excited about working with me,' she said.
