And fans of The Weeknd, real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, were left stunned as they heard the Canadian singer speak for the first time in clip of him meeting a fan, which went viral on Twitter.

The 20-second video shows the superstar, 32, speaking softly while in a conversation with a fan backstage at his recent Miami gig.

'Y'all his voice!' tweeted a user alongside the video of The Weeknd greeting his fan, which shows him saying: 'I thought you were gonna come to the Tampa show. Are you from Miami originally?' to which the fan tells him he isn't.

The singer then asks: 'Where are you from originally?' before the pair continue their conversation and have a selfie, with The Weeknd exclaiming: 'Of course!' when asked for the snap.
