Adam Collard was attacked by a group of men who tore at his shirt while he was out with his girlfriend Paige Thorne in Newcastle on Tuesday night.

The Love Island star, who returned for the 2022 series after first appearing in 2018, was enjoying a low-key night out with Paige and his friend.

Adam, 26, was seen putting on a brave face following the altercation as he stepped out with Paige, 24, following a lunch date on Wednesday afternoon.

An onlooker claims that a group of thugs spotted Adam, 26, and began behaving aggressively towards Adam and were even ripping his top.

A video obtained by the Sun shows Adam defending himself during the altercation and one of his friends jumping in to try and help.

Bouncers were also seen trying to break up the row which took place at the Market Shaker bar in the city centre.

A clubber told the publication: 'It happened shortly after midnight. Adam and Paige were just on a night, it wasn't an official appearance or anything.

'Everyone was trying to crowd him and I think they were trying to crowd Paige and Adam wasn't happy at all which was understandable.

'Then people started to rip his top off and it all kicked off. It's no surprise he wanted to defend himself and was obviously looking out for Paige as well.'

A spokesman for Adam said of the bar brawl: 'Adam was trying to enjoy a quiet night in his hometown with friends when a large group of men began aggressively harassing them.

'Despite several attempts to diffuse the situation, the men continued to become more aggressive and started physically attacking Adam.
