Karl Stefanovic has ruled himself out of the running to take over from his former mentor Tracy Grimshaw on A Current Affair.
The Today Show host was one of the many names touted to vie for 'TV's most coveted job' after Grimshaw announced she was stepping down after 17 years in the job.
But Stefanovic, 48, has indicated he is not interested in the primetime anchor role, according to TV Tonight.

Grimshaw shared the news with viewers she was leaving the show during Monday's episode of the popular Nine Network program
Grimshaw announced she is stepping down from the show on Monday evening, saying she was 'a bit tired' after 'doing shift work' for 26 years.
Stefanovic shared a heartfelt tribute to Grimshaw Tuesday's Today show.
'She's been a shift worker for 26 years, starting with the early wake-up calls for the Today show. She was host for nine years before becoming the anchor of A Current Affair in 2006,' he began.
