Mary Bedford has revealed that her mother is 'looking after' her as she recovers after she was involved in a horrific car crash that left her covered in 'cuts and bruises'.

The former Love Island star, 23, took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday to thank her fans for their support, one day after she had detailed the terrifying ordeal.

She said her mother had travelled to Manchester to care for her after she revealed that she had been left 'shaken up' and 'bruised' following the car crash.

Alongside a snap of her TV, Mary penned: 'Thank you everyone for all of your lovely messages since yesterday, I appreciate them. 

'Mumsy has come to Manchester and is looking after me.'

It comes after Mary took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday to detail the terrifying ordeal for her 890,000 followers.

She said she was left 'cut and bruised' and admitted she felt 'so grateful' to have made it back home.
