The star, 32, who rose to fame on Geordie Shore, wants to see greater diversity on the ITV show, insisting it would be more gripping if viewers were able to watch ordinary folk like Coronation Street's Fiz and Tyrone 'genuinely fall in love with each other'.

Charlotte, who first appeared on MTV's Geordie Shore 11 years ago, admitted she would never have made it onto Love Island as she is the opposite of what she thinks the show's producers look for.

It comes after Charlotte, who is expecting her first baby, said she is yet to 'embrace' her pregnancy after the reality star's mother was diagnosed with breast cancer.
