Ed Balls awkwardly asked Kate Garraway about her sex life during a debate on Good Morning Britain on Friday.

His comments came as the two hosts debated whether women should ban men from sex if they eat meat in response to Peta's call for a 'sex strike' to 'save the planet'.

During the debate, broadcaster Ed, 55, raised eyebrows as he asked his journalist co-host, 55, if she would enforce such a rule in her own life.

She quipped: 'I mean, when I look back at my dusty romantic history, I feel like if I'd said to somebody, 'No, unless you stop eating meat', they'd prefer to have the steak.
