She overcame a three year battle with drink and drugs and is now ready to face her next challenge.

Michelle Heaton is 'ready and raring to go' after signing up to Channel 4's Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. 

The former Liberty X singer is 'raring' to go and is currently 'out filming' with her co-stars MP Matt Hancock, Towie star James 'Arg' Argent and The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran, according to reports.

A source told The Sun: 'Michelle is ready and raring to go and is out filming with her co-stars now.

'She has gone through so much in her personal life because of her struggle with alcoholism but she wants to prove to herself how far she has come.'

Michelle previously explained she had been offered TV gigs in recent years,  however due to drinking she was not 'in a fit state' to take part. 

The singer said she was not in a healthy place 'both mentally and physically' but is now the happiest she has been for a while. 

It comes after Michelle flaunted her muscular figure as she shared a motivational post to her Instagram grid last week.

The star looked fit and healthy as she flexed her muscles while donning a mint green cropped top and black leggings.

Michelle, who has bravely shared her battle with substance abuse, oozed confidence as she told her fans: 'Whatever life throws at you, remember never give up'. 

She penned: 'Today I am stronger then yesterday but weaker then tomorrow….' [sic].

'What ever life throws at you remember never to give up. If we halt at every hurdle we will never grow.
