Scott Tweedie is replacing Osher Günsberg as one of the presenters in the reboot of Australian Idol in 2023.
The Bachelor host, 48, couldn't be happier to pass the torch as he offered his congratulations to Scott, 34, in a humourous Instagram video on Wednesday.
He posted a video of himself spraying the younger TV personality with copious amounts of hairspray in a nod to his own famously coiffed 'do.

'Nothing gives me more joy in my career than being able to pass the torch to one of the most professional, hard-working, humble human beings I have ever had the chance to work with,' Osher captioned in the clip.
He added: 'Great gig, Scott Tweedie. You’re ready to join Ricki-Lee [Coulter, the second host] at the helm. Sail the good ship Australian Idol back out to sea for a high ratings adventure! So stoked for you both. Can’t wait to watch.'
In the video, Scott is seen prepping backstage for Australian Idol as the former host comes up to him and says he's 'not quite ready yet' before adjusting his suit jacket and drowning him in hairspray.
Scott announced his new hosting gig on Instagram just hours earlier, posting promotional pictures of himself and the 2023 judges.
