Music legend Jimmy Barnes has received a doctorate from the University of South Australia for his distinguished service to the community.
The 66-year-old Scottish-born rocker accepted the honorary doctorate on Wednesday in Adelaide as part of the university's September graduations.
Jimmy, who left school at 16 to join Cold Chisel as lead singer, gushed with pride as he posted the news to his Instagram stories.
