I was very lucky that I got to work on the latest stories of the day, every single day in NSW and around the country and and even travel around the world. 'I loved sharing and telling the news to everyone. I thought I would really miss it, but I just jumped straight into the business, so I don't have time to miss it'. Last year, she launched a high performance SPF mist which can be used over foundation and doesn't need to be constantly reapplied. 'When I launched my husband and I put our own savings into it. It was petrifying,' she said. She also said that no-one was more supportive than her former colleague Natalie Barr. 'She is such a mentor of mine. She might hate me saying that. 'She got to Sunrise 18 or 20 years ago. She had children during that time. Two kids, two maternity leaves. 'It's scary to think you have to take off six months to a year as a woman. But you can be a mum, you can be a worker, you can host Sunrise. 'Whether she knows it or not, she's always been someone I've looked up to. 'I think she really paved the path for the rest of us.'
